Your Guide to DIY Online Marketing

The website doesn’t have to be fancy, but should load quickly, have easy-to-read text, and have a simple and straightforward layout that’s easy to navigate. 

  1. Start Developing Content

At the very least, your website should have an “about me” page, a “products and services” page, and a way for customers to get in contact with you. But a really good site will also include a blog with tips, news about the industry, how-to posts, and other updates. Make sure that your content is developed for your audience. Think about who you’re writing for and who your business and its products and services are designed for. Then, write content that speaks to those people. 

  1. Get On Social Media. Now.

In order to remain competitive in 2020, businesses must, must, must have a social media presence. You should be on all of the major sites, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as any sites that might be relevant to your customer base. And know that it’s not just enough to be on social media; you must actually post and engage with your customers on a regular basis. 

  1. Don’t DIY

The three tips above will help you to get started, and can be a critical part of the beginnings of forming connections with customers that you absolutely wouldn’t have but for an online presence. But if you really want to make an impact, you’ll have to do more.
