Pfew! Man, it’s hot out here. I’m panting my butt off, and I still can’t cool down. Oh, well – I better enjoy it while it lasts.
Another Wednesday has quickly come and gone dear reader, and I feel like the summer is slipping through my paws. This might not seem like a huge deal to you, but it is a very concerning ordeal for me. This is my very first summer – there are so many new things to do and try, and I feel like I’m running out of time to do them all! Not to mention, this will be the only summer that I am a puppy, so I need to make the most of it. These joints won’t stay young forever, you know.
I am determined to make the most out of my summer. So, I have decided to make a bucket list of all the things I’d like to do from here on out to make sure I get as much as I possibly can done. I know it might seem silly – a puppy making a bucket list? But hey, being organized and having goals is important for all creatures, no matter how many legs they have. Plus, this way, I won’t forget any of my ideas, and I can keep track of what I’ve accomplished.
One thing that definitely makes the top of my list is jet-skiing. I’ve seen those sleek watercrafts zooming around the lake, and it looks like so much fun! Imagine the wind in my fur and feeling the cool splash of water on my face. Oh boy, just thinking about it gets me excited. I might need some help getting onto one, though, since I’m still a little too small to jump up by myself. But hey, that’s what friends (human servants) are for!
Next on my list is going camping. I’ve heard so many stories about roasting marshmallows over a campfire and sleeping under the stars. It sounds like such an adventure! Plus, being surrounded by nature and exploring new trails would be a great way to stay active and burn off all this puppy energy. I’ll definitely be bringing my favorite tennis ball to play fetch on the camping trip.
Fourth of July is another high-priority activity for me. I’ve never experienced fireworks before, and I can’t wait to see the colors and lights in the sky. Plus, there will be plenty of yummy barbeque smells to sniff out at all the backyard parties. I might even try to learn some new tricks so I can sucker the humans into giving me some of their tasty food. Hey, a puppy’s gotta do what a puppy’s gotta do.
And last but not least on my list is learning to ride a skateboard. I’ve seen some cool cats and dogs in the neighborhood cruising around on their skateboards and it looks like so much fun! Plus, I think it would be great for my balance and coordination skills. (This pup needs all the help he can get in that department.) Plus, who knows, maybe I’ll even become a pro skater pup one day!
Phew, that was quite an extensive bucket list. But hey, go big or go home, right? And who knows – maybe I’ll come up with even more ideas as the summer goes on. The important thing is that I am making the most out of every moment and enjoying my first summer as a puppy to the fullest. Now, let the adventures begin!
Peace out!
