This week’s tale? Oh, it’s a downright holiday masterpiece. As you may know, this past Monday was Labor Day. What’s the purpose of Labor Day, you might ask? Well, it’s a holiday humans created to honor all the hardworking folks out there. The day originally featured a lot of union parades and festivals to celebrate workers’ rights and achievements. But in recent years, it’s become more common for people to fire up the grill with friends and family and take a little extra time for themselves.
Here’s the thing, though, dear reader. If you asked me (and you should), I’d say Labor Day should be devoted to sleeping. Why? Because work is exhausting! Whether you’re human or a dog, everyone deserves a day to rest and recharge. Naps are the ultimate reward for all that effort.
So, I decided to spend my Labor Day giving the Sandman a real workout. And let me just say, I’m pretty sure I crushed it.
