Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh. Another Wednesday has arrived, dear reader, and you won’t believe what happened to me this week.
As you all know, we are easing out of the Thanksgiving season and bulldozing straight toward CHRISTMAS. This pup cannot wait. However, we still have a couple of long weeks of work to trudge through before we get there.
Only this dog is no longer trudging. I am sailing through these last few weeks with my head held high. Why is that, you may ask? I GOT A PROMOTION.
That’s right – you heard me. Your favorite French Bulldog has been promoted from Mascot in Training to Junior Mascot.
I was so worried going into my annual review. Mom sat me down in her office and I tried really hard to keep my cool – you know, not nervously pee all over the floor. I was able to hold in the pee, but I will admit I did a little anxious drooling all over her office chair. #sorrymom
Uneasy thoughts flooded through my head – had she appreciated my valiant efforts to keep the office safe from dangerous invaders (squirrels)? Had she approved of my willingness to go above and beyond to put smiles on my aunties’ faces day after day? Did she take notice of the fact that I hadn’t peed on the floor in 72 hours, 3 minutes, and 29 seconds?
It turns out she had. She told me I was such a good boy, gave me a nice long belly rub, and even gave me a little treat to go with it. Then, she gave me the greatest gift of all – MY PROMOTION.
When she announced that, starting the new year, I would officially step into the role of Junior Mascot, I was over the moon. I could hardly believe it—my hard work had finally paid off. Now, I get to walk through the office with a shiny new title and, who knows, maybe even my own set of business cards.
The best part about this promotion? I might finally get my very own office! It’s only fitting that a pup of my status enjoys the most luxurious workspace in the building. I’m envisioning a large window for optimal people-watching, a plush bed for those essential midday naps, and, naturally, top-tier chew toys to keep me entertained. Let’s not forget a supportive desk chair tailored for my stocky French Bulldog frame (spinal support is no joke) and an elegant doggy water fountain to complete the setup. Talk about living the high life!
Most excitingly, I’m one step closer to my dream of becoming the ultimate Office Mascot. It may take some time, but I am determined to reach that paw-sition one day. Until then, I’ll continue to spread joy and cuteness in the workplace, one wag of my tail at a time.
Well, dear reader, thank you for joining me on this little update about my life as an office pup. I hope it made you smile and maybe even inspired you to get through these last few weeks before the holidays with a little extra pep in your step. Because if this pup can get a promotion, anything is pawsible!
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some important work to do – like selecting the perfect outfit for my first day as Junior Mascot and deciding on the flavor of celebratory treats to share with my aunties (hint: they’re all going to be bacon-flavored).
Forever your favorite office pup,
Winston
