Greetings, my dear reader (and loyal fans). Winston here—your favorite French Bulldog and now officially the Junior Mascot of the office! That’s right, you may recall that I went into the new year with a big promotion under my belt. Now that it’s been a few weeks since I stepped into my new role, I feel it’s only fitting to update you on how it’s going.
Since stepping into my new role, my days have definitely become busier, but I’m enjoying it. Here’s just a snippet of my daily tasks (which I execute with the kind of excellence only I can bring):
Every morning, I make it my top priority to enthusiastically welcome my aunties as they arrive. A wagging tail, a happy bark, maybe the occasional zoomie—whatever it takes to start their day with a smile.
Throughout the day, I conduct regular wellness checks. I trot from desk to desk, ensuring everyone is feeling their best and delivering much-needed cuddles to those in need of emotional support. Stress? Not on my watch.
I now have the prestigious duty of sitting in on important meetings. My calming presence and unique perspective (I’m very close to the ground, you see) have truly changed the game. Plus, nothing diffuses tense discussions quite like a good boop on the nose.
It’s critical that the office stays productive, and that’s where naps come in. I’ve taken it upon myself to demonstrate the importance of rest by leading by example. My plush bed under the sunny window has become a beacon of relaxation.
From group lunchtime walks to impromptu cuddle sessions, I’m boosting office morale one adorable moment at a time.
Along with my workload, I’ve also noticed an uptick in how much my aunties value my contributions. They come to me even more now—sometimes for a cuddle, sometimes to share a snack (which I, as a humble team player, graciously accept). Their respect for my role has grown tenfold. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start calling me Sir Winston any day now.
So far, the perks have been pretty impressive – lots of belly rubs, lots of extra treats – but I’m not going to settle. I’m still lobbying for my very own office—a French Bulldog of my stature deserves privacy, don’t you think? I’ve already reached out to a few different businesses for quotes for a custom nameplate that says “Junior Mascot & Good Boy Extraordinaire.” It’s going to look so good on my desk.
Overall, being the Junior Mascot has been an absolute dream come true. My duties may be important, but they’re also incredibly fulfilling—after all, spreading joy and love is what I do best. Not to be conceited (you know how humble I am, dear reader) but I definitely think another promotion could be in my future. I just have to keep grinding.
With that said – it’s time to get back to work! The office doesn’t maintain this level of cuteness without my leadership.
Until next time,
Winston
