Here are some hot trends in web and graphic design for 2020 – reach out to our team today to learn more about how we can help you–

Customization and Personalization

When we say customization and personalization, we’re not talking about the services that you’re providing for your customers; instead, we mean that it’s becoming quite trendy for brands to use custom fonts and illustration styles on their websites, standing out from competitors using more standard typography and design.

More Motion

Sure, videos and animation have been around for a while, but 2020 will really start to see some movement when it comes to motion. Running typography, video headers, and micro-animations are likely to become more popular. While these are fun to integrate, and can definitely be used to engage customers, be careful about overdoing it.

Negative Space

Negative space, or white space, is becoming increasingly popular. Making sure that your website has plenty of negative space helps keep things feeling clean, simple, and organized. This can be a very pleasant feeling for a consumer, especially one who isn’t as comfortable with animations, lots of boldness, or website navigation in general.

Split Screens

Another way to keep things simple and clean looking while also providing the consumer with a lot of information at once (but not in a way that’s overwhelming) is to consider the split screen approach. As implied, this works by taking your screen and splitting it right down the middle. On the left side of the screen, one image will be displayed; on the right side of the screen, another. You can combine the two visuals and highlight their cohesion by using a menu header or CTA that is placed directly in the middle, spanning both images.

What Else?

In addition to the above popular trends, illustrations, big blocks of color, and forms that are fullscreen are just a few other things to look forward to this year.
