Winston’s Gastronomic Adventures

Belly rumbles. Ohhhhhhh woe is me, dear reader. It would appear that it is a whole .05 seconds past my regularly scheduled mealtime. I am withering away as we speak. I swear it’s like they don’t even care about me anymore. They can see me sitting here in front of my bowl and yet they can’t even spare me a wee morsel. Maybe I should run away. Maybe I should play dead. Ooo, or, better yet, maybe I should start doing the classic puppy whine. That’ll make them feel extra bad. Serves them right – what’s the point of serving me if you’re not going to do it correctly?

As you can see, dear reader, food is something that I take incredibly seriously. I might even consider myself a bit of a foodie if I had to put a label on the deep passion I have for the sound of kibble hitting my bowl. So, in honor of my deep love for scarfing down food, I have decided to give you a glimpse into my daily meals. Who knows? Perhaps what you see will inspire your own culinary creations.

Breakfast

My day starts off bright and early with a nice bowl of high-quality kibble. Now, I know what you’re thinking – “kibble, really?” But trust me, this is not your average run-of-the-mill kibble. This stuff is like gourmet food for dogs. Made with real meat and veggies, it’s a delicious start to my day.

Mid-Morning Snack

Around mid-morning, when I’ve already worked up an appetite from chasing squirrels in the backyard, I like to munch on a bit of kibble. Not too much, just enough to tide me over until lunchtime.

Lunch

Lunch is my favorite meal of the day. By then, I’ve usually worked up a decent sized appetite after having to emotionally support my aunties all morning. Plus, I’m allotted time for a nice post-lunch nap, and is there any more incredible feeling than going to bed with a full, warm belly? I don’t think so. You can often find me chowing down on a hefty bowl of kibble for lunch. If I’m lucky, my humans might drop a few bits of their human food on the ground for me to snack on.

Afternoon Snack

Around mid-afternoon, I start to feel like the day is dragging on. My toys start getting a bit too soaked through with slobber for my liking, and I start getting restless, ready to go home. I like to spice things up with a small treat to power through the rest of the afternoon. My personal favorite is some kibble.

Dinner

Ah, the grand finale of my daily meals. Dinner time is always something to look forward to. I am often served a delectable platter of kibble paired with a crisp bowl of water. I’ve watched those French chefs on TV crafting elaborate dishes. Still, I must say, despite their culinary skills, I think it’s safe to say their creations don’t quite match the sophistication and delicacy of my kibble dinners.

Dessert

Now, I know what you’re thinking – “a dog eating dessert?” But let me tell you, my dear reader, this is no ordinary dessert. It’s a small bowl of kibble mixed with a bit of kibble dust. Not only does it satisfy my sweet tooth, but it also adds some extra nutrients to my diet.

With such a well-rounded and delicious meal plan, I’m sure you can see why I take food so seriously. And don’t worry, dear reader, if your meals aren’t quite as extravagant – I’ll still love you for who you are (but maybe just a little less than I love kibble). Now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s almost dinner time, and I wouldn’t want to keep my bowl waiting any longer. Belly rumbles again. Until next time!

XOXO Winston
