What Is PPC Advertising?

PPC advertising is a model of online marketing where the advertiser (that’s you!) pays a fee each time that a user clicks an ad. So, if you post an advertisement and it gets 100 clicks, you will pay for each one of those clicks (the payment is made to the party that’s hosting the ad). 

What Are the Advantages of a PPC Ad Campaign?

PPC can have some real benefits and is a favorite style of advertising as such. For example, some advantages of PPC include immediate results, data that’s easy to track, advertising directly to your target customer base, measurable ROI, and immediate brand exposure. Of course, there are some downsides, too – namely, that PPC isn’t a long-term solution for elevating your business and clicks can get expensive. 

How Much Will PPC Advertising Cost?

There is some flexibility and variation as to how much a PPC ad campaign will cost. The cost of a PPC campaign will depend on the bid and the quality score of an ad. The bid depends on your industry and target customer – if you’re trying to get clicks on a competitive keyword, it may cost more. 

Am I Better Just Sticking with Organic Search Options?

Many of our customers want to know if PPC is really worth the cost, or if it’s better to just stick with organic search options. (As a note, an “organic” approach to search means attracting customers and driving leads through non-paid means, such as keyword integration, enhanced user experience, SEO, etc.) Organic tactics should definitely be incorporated and can be more effective long-term. If you want to drive leads now, though, organic search can be too time-intensive to get immediate results. In fact, getting results from organic means can take months of diligent effort.
